Because each school and different majors have their own transfer application deadlines, we hope that all students can set the application cycle as one year though it is usually about half a year before admission.
During this year, students need to submit application materials, schools need to review materials, givefeedback of reviewed results, and arrange admissions.

First of all, transferring from College to a comprehensive university can save students a lot of tuition fees. The tuition fees of College will be about half to 2/3 cheaper than those of comprehensive universities, so some students with financial difficulties will choose a different way. They will spend two years in college plus two years in university. Compared with the transfer of high school, the transfer of college is more complicated. First of all, students should know that the transfer requirements for BC and Ontario are completely different.
BC province can transfer no more than two years of credits, that is equal to 60 credits. Students do not need to choose their major during the application process. They can make the choice after being transferred. The corresponding course names are provided to students on BCtransfer. Some courses may have completely different names in different schools. Ontario’s transfer requirement is for students to complete a two-year diploma in college and then transfer to the corresponding university with the same major. In other words, Ontario students should be more cautious when choosing majors in college.
Yes, the teaching materials are not exactly the same between provinces in Canada. Transfering to universities in other provinces may result in having a lower transferable credit, so students are advised to transfer inside the province to save time and money.
Generally speaking, college transfer applications should be submitted in September and October. However, the requirements of changing from university to another university are more stringent. The transferable courses required by majors are different. We suggest that you must prepare in advance and have a detailed plan.
