AP Physics (C)

AP stands for Advanced Placement, which is the university preparatory course. The AP exam was held by the College Board in 1955 to give high school students access to college courses and to complete some of them ahead of schedule if they have the ability to do so. There are 22 categories, including 37 different courses.

AP Physics Divided Into Three Courses :

We will mainly introduce the content of AP Physics C. First of all, AP physics C is based on calculus, so students must have learned or are currently studying calculus in order to be able to understand AP physics C.

AP Physics C is also divided into two parts: electromagnetism and mechanics. Even though electromagnetism and mechanics are two different tests, some schools will combine electromagnetism and mechanics into one class, each part one semester while others only offer one of them.

AP Physics (C) Mechanics Content :

Hence, due to AP Physics C is a course that includes calculus, so it will be more challenging.

AP Physics (C) Electromagnetic Content :

AP Physics (C)’s partially content overlaps AP Physics (2), But because of the existence of calculus, it will be more challenging.

Therefore, due to the fact that AP Physics (C) involves calculus, AP Physics C will be more recognized by the university, and more likely to be converted into university credits.
